	~~Purchased~~ by DVRPS in 1991.		Writing in a June 1996 edition of the ARHS Bulletin, rail historian H J W (Jim) Stokes noted that DB14 was originally built by the Ashbury Railway Carriage & Iron Company near Manchester in England,

			and was delivered to the Tasmanian Government Railways in 1887 for operation on the Fingal, Derwent Valley and Scottsdale lines.
